The Essential Ways of Finding Self-Awareness
The happiest people doesn’t always have the best of everything, they just know how to live their life fully. To understand your worth, you must begin by assessing yourself whether you find fulfillment in what you do. You may be living a luxurious life or have a wonderful job but at the end of the day, you will still ask yourself what is still lacking and why you haven’t achieved total satisfaction and true happiness.
At some point in your life, you must be able to realize that self-awareness will help you determine what makes life better and worth living. Through self-awareness, you will learn how to eliminate things that are pulling you down and it will lead you to focusing yourself on the more essential things that will eventually lead you to a happy and stress-free life. Here are five ways on how to find self-awareness.

1. Being Alone. You might think that it is better to be with someone all the time but you are wrong. Your life doesn’t have to revolve around someone. For a while, learn to detach yourself even from the closest person you’ve been with. It may be hard at first but think about the chance to grow on your own and without someone who might control your daily life.
Fight the fear of being alone. Use your alone time to have deeper understanding of yourself. You should distance yourself from pessimistic people.
Learn, in a great way, the importance of finding yourself in isolation for a while. Get yourself busy; find a job, do what you’re good at, be confident. Trust the process of transition from a very social person to somebody who has a more productive life. Find the right job, surround yourself with real friends no matter how few they are and keep away from negativity.
2. Know Yourself. Identify the things that you are good at. Once you focus yourself on your priorities, set goals and create a plan on how to achieve them. Knowing yourself is important in determining your limitations as well as your potentials. It is never too late to start doing what your heart truly desires.
You may be in a very comfortable position now but eventually you will realize that your daily routine isn’t helping you grow and be more productive. Also, do not compare yourself to others.
3. Experience. It is always the best teacher. It can be through travel, socialization, working on different fields, or trying crazy things. Do not waste your time doing the same thing over again. Take every opportunity to be good at what you like doing and convert it into passion. Work on the things that are worth spending your energy on.
Do not stress yourself about the salary you get for a job initially, sometimes you will need to take a pay cut in the short run to make more in the long run. Be inspired on doing the things you love so that you won’t have to struggle working on it. Becoming one with the thing you love will help you find self-awareness.
4. Travel. Go to places you’ve never been to before and observe different cultures. Travelling is a great experience and it always bring us new lessons in life.It can help you be more open to seeing how other people think & communicate and ultimately how other people live.
This can help you think outside your limits and open yourself to more opportunities. Learn also to adapt several ways on how to improve yourself through interaction with other people.
5. Anything is possible. Always believe in yourself. Do not let anybody tell you “you can’t do something”. Do not listen to criticisms or whatever negativity some people might say about you. It is your life and the distance between your goals and your self lies on how much you are willing to do it regardless of the difficulties you might encounter.
The key to achieving your dream is believe that you can do it at all cost. The sweetest achievements do not happen overnight so you will always have to work for it and a strong belief in yourself will always help you get by.
